What a month it’s been.
Throughout September, the #TeamModeshift community has come together to celebrate Mode Shift Month and this year’s theme of Mobility for Everyone.
We’ve seen an incredible range of activities, ideas and conversations – from people trying different ways to travel, to organisations creating opportunities for their communities to rethink everyday journeys.
And, of course, we’ve loved seeing the enthusiasm continue across social media.
A month of different journeys and perspectives
One of the highlights of Mode Shift Month has been hearing the different perspectives from across our community.
Our Mode Shift Month blogs have brought a range of perspectives to the conversation.
- Lydia Horbury, Bus Users UK has explored why buses are an important part of the mode shift picture. Lydia’s blog also challenges some of the common myths around bus travel.
- Sam Robinson, Love to Ride shared his experience and encouraged people to discover the benefits of cycling through Cycle September
- Tyler Linton from Hackney Council has shared how Amhurst Road is Paving the Way for a Greener Hackney.
- We’ve also heard from within the Modeshift staff team. Jenny Royall, from the Modeshift team, and Rob Bounds, Modeshift Board Member, have shared their thoughts on this year’s theme and what Mobility for Everyone means to them.
Now it’s time to celebrate your contribution
If you’ve taken part in Mode Shift Month, organised an activity, inspired others or helped your community make a change, we want to hear about it.
The Mode Shift Month Awards are an opportunity to recognise the creativity, enthusiasm and impact behind this year’s campaign.
You don’t need to have delivered the biggest event or reached the most people. We want to celebrate the ideas and initiatives that have made a difference — whether that’s through inspiring a change in one person’s journey, engaging a whole community or trying something completely new.
Entries close 6 November.
Not sure what makes a great entry? Take a look at our previous Mode Shift Month Award winners for inspiration and see the different approaches that have been recognised in previous years.

Thank you to everyone who has made Mode Shift Month 2026 such a brilliant celebration of Mobility for Everyone.
