Planning is underway for Mode Shift Month 2026, and we want to hear from our Members.
This year, we are aligning activity closely with European Mobility Week 2026, which takes place from 16–22 September 2026 and focuses on the theme:
‘Mobility for Everyone’
In 2026, EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK keeps the theme which made the success of the last edition: Mobility for Everyone. This year’s campaign will place a focus on intergenerational fairness.
Share your plans and projects
We know our Members are delivering fantastic work all year round, and Mode Shift Month is an opportunity to showcase those projects, campaigns and activities across the wider network.

We are looking for:
- Planned activities for Mode Shift Month or World Car Free Day
- Community projects linked to the EMW theme
- School, workplace or neighbourhood initiatives
- Intergenerational travel projects
- Accessibility and inclusion-focused schemes
- Walking, wheeling, cycling or public transport initiatives
- Local events we could help spotlight during the month
We are particularly interested in projects that could become anchor events for the national campaign.
