The UK Walking Summit comes to Liverpool for the first time on Wednesday 25 March 2026 and Modeshift will be exhibiting. Now in its tenth year, the event by Modeshift Corporate Premium Members Living Streets brings together leaders, planners and campaigners who are working to improve streets for people walking and wheeling.
This year’s theme, The Future of Streets: Putting Pedestrians First, will explore how the changes we make to our streets today will be with us for decades.
The event will shine a light on emerging technologies that are creating new ways for people to move around towns and cities and showcase work happening in the region through a series of ‘walkshops’.
Speakers include Lilian Greenwood MP, Kirsty McCaskill-Baxter (Active Travel England), Adam Tranter (Fusion Media), Simon O’Brien (Liverpool City Region) and Agustina Martire (Queen’s University Belfast). You can see the programme and book your ticket here. Liverpool City Region will showcase work that puts people that walk and wheel at the heart of change. We’ll also hear from trailblazers across the UK who are looking to make walking and wheeling safer and more accessible as our streets evolve.

We hope to see you there in March.
