Modeshift is governed by a Management Board of voluntary members who are transport professionals in the field of sustainable travel.

Our Board oversee the organisations services, budget and strategy. They join a series of workstreams with our growing Delivery Team. Most Board Members will give one day per month of their work or own time to fulfil the duties of the position on the Board, for a three-year term.
It’s an exciting organisation to be part of and Board Members, past and present, have enjoyed the additional learning, input into the growth and delivery of Modeshift services and gaining valuable experience to support ongoing career progression and professional development.
This year we have the following positions up for election:
- Chair of Modeshift (up to 2 days per month)
- Southwest Executive
- Midlands Regional Executive
- STARS Residential Executive
- STARS Business Executive
- Diversity Equality and Inclusion Executive

In order to apply you will need to complete an application form and declare you have approval from your organisation. The deadline to apply is Friday 25 September.
If two more people apply for a position you will be notified, and a decision may be put to a vote. Positions on the Board will commence 16 November 2026.
