The Bikeability Trust has released its latest Impact Report, Beyond the School Gates highlighting another year of outstanding progress and impact. The report celebrates the collaborative efforts between the Trust, Active Travel England (ATE), the Department for Transport (DfT), and their dedicated delivery partners.
Bikeability remains firmly on track to training six million children by the end of this year—a testament to its expanding national reach and growing influence.
Highlights include:
- Exactly 500,000 Bikeability Level 1, 2, 3 and Plus places booked (excluding London) – over 13,000 more places booked than last year
- 21,420 additional Balance and Learn to Ride places delivered through Get Cycling in Schools – a 13% increase on last year
- Through Scaling Up, GCiS, working with partners and more, we created access to more than 4,700 cycles – more than four times as many as last year
- Children spent almost 3 MILLION HOURS cycling with Bikeability!
- Over 58% of Year 5 and 6 pupils were reached across England – an increase from last year
- Reached nearly 64% of primary schools in England (excluding London)
