Pindar Creative supports Doncaster MBC with active travel leaflets for local hospitals

Modeshift Corporate Premium Member – Pindar Creative, is pleased to announce the creation of two active travel leaflets for Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC). Designed to encourage healthier, more sustainable travel, the leaflets aim to support staff and visitors at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Tickhill Road Hospital in making informed choices about walking, cycling, and wheeling as alternatives to driving.

The leaflets include detailed maps with signposted routes, traffic-free paths, bus and cycle lanes, and guidance on walking your bike in designated areas. Accompanied by photos of Doncaster’s new cycle infrastructure, the resources showcase the city’s commitment to improving sustainable travel options and making active travel easier and safer.

At both locations, significant improvements have been made to walking and cycling facilities. Doncaster Royal Infirmary now benefits from enhanced crossings and new segregated cycle routes that connect it to key areas, while Tickhill Road Hospital has improved connections to Balby and Wadworth, along with upgraded cycle parking facilities and shelters for visitors. These developments aim to make walking and cycling more accessible and appealing for shorter journeys.

The leaflets also highlight the comprehensive support available from the Doncaster Active Travel Hub, based at Doncaster Train Station. Residents can access free bike and e-bike loans, secure cycle parking, guided walks and rides, Dr Bike repairs, and free cycle training for all abilities. The park-and-(st)ride scheme near Doncaster Royal Infirmary further encourages sustainable travel by offering staff a convenient way to incorporate walking or cycling into their daily routines.
