As we come into the last few days of September, we’re building on last year’s successes to make Mode Shift Month 2025 our biggest celebration yet.

Last year, organisations across the UK inspired thousands of people during TravelWise Week 2024, delivering creative campaigns to make everyday journeys easier. From walking and wheeling initiatives in schools to workplace bus promotions and community wide challenges, their efforts were recognised through the TravelWise Week Awards.

Winners:

• Hull City Council, for an action-packed week of guided walks, cycle checks, and e-cycle try-outs.

• Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supporting staff to travel by bus and cycles with free passes and cycle opportunities.

• Linmere and Central Bedfordshire Council, engaging residents with bus vouchers, scavenger hunts, and ‘Park and Stride’.

• William Gilbert Endowed C of E Primary School and Nursery, delivering a week of exciting school activities from Pledge Monday to Car Free Friday.

This year, the campaign has grown into Mode Shift Month, a full month dedicated to walking, wheeling, cycling, public transport, and shared journeys.

To take part, follow the steps below:

• Fill in the Mode Shift Month Form
• You can register your participation right up until 30 September
• Deliver your Mode Shift Month events and activities
• Complete and submit a Mode Shift Month Awards Form (Coming Soon)
