Modeshift STARS National Travel Awards

These Awards champion the best of the best! An inspiring mix of individuals, schools, business settings, healthcare organisations, and residential developments who are all dedicated to enhancing everyday journeys and enabling more people to walk, wheel, cycle, and use public transport.

Modeshift STARS National Travel Awards 25/26

Winner: Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire County Council

Pinewood film studio is located in Buckinghamshire. Pinewoods travel plan is well thought out with an established and diverse working group, practical and engaging initiatives and clear and achievable targets in place. The travel plan has recently been updated and includes staff travel survey data which demonstrates a reduction in single car occupancy rates. Overall, the travel plan is a good start for the organisation to build on.


Nominee: SAJ Transport Consultants, Newcastle City Council

SAJ Transport Consultants travel plan is a great example of a small organisation in a city centre location making the most out of the amenities available to them. The travel plan is considered and includes clear targets, a range of initiatives, and numerous links with a range
of sustainable and active service providers.


Nominee: Brindleyplace, Birmingham City Council

Brindleyplace is a leisure and cultural centre in the heart of Birmingham. Their Travel Plan has clear aims and objectives, as well as an established and active working group. There are several varied initiatives which are practical and provide a solid start for growth. Bus scheme free travel vouchers for staff have been delivered and well received, and single car occupancy is decreasing.
