Career history:
I started working in the sustainable transport industry in 2022 following the completion of my Masters in Globalisation, Business and Sustainable Development. Working for Liftshare (now Mobilityways) as a Consultant Commutologist, I was responsible for helping organisations to measure, reduce and report on their Scope 3 commuter emissions. Keen to expand my knowledge and experience with a broader range of transport options to reduce emissions, I joined Smarter Travel Ltd in 2023 as a Travel Plan Coordinator to help new residential and commercial developments across the UK to implement sustainable Travel Plans. Now the Travel Plan Manager, I have a hand in ensuring our clients, including some of the largest developers in the UK, can get the best from their Travel Plans by delivering tailored initiatives, such as car sharing schemes, car clubs, micromobility schemes and public transport improvements.
Why did you join Modeshift:
I am grateful for the opportunity to take on the East of England Regional Executive position, it’s a great opportunity to further expand my knowledge of this growing industry, to network with likeminded individuals so that we may collaborate to bring about positive, progressive changes. I can utilise my experience organising events to pool resources, as Modeshift has been a great help to me since joining the industry and I would like to be part of helping others to get involved by organising the regional meetings and raising awareness of industry best practice and learning opportunities, so that we can all contribute to building a sustainable future.
Outside of Modeshift:
I enjoy music (particularly country, rock and jazz), travelling and trying new experiences, reading non-fiction, games nights, DIY (currently renovating my first home), cycling and pub quizzing. My attempts at pottery, painting and rock climbing are feeble but I enjoy them all the same, variety is the spice of life!
