I joined Modeshift in May 2026 as Chief Operating Officer, previously working for The Bikeability Trust as Director of Development.
I typically work from home, which is just outside of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, but can often be found at the Darlington office, or out and about at various engagements in Manchester, Birmingham and London as necessary.
My plan was to have a career in either art or cycling. Despite a fine art degree, cycling provided timely and fun opportunities early on. From bike shop workshops, cycle coaching and Bikeability instructing, to operations and development roles with national companies. I was with The Bikeability Trust for seven years before the opportunity with Modeshift presented itself, a role which I knew to be the right step.
The mission and the people. The mission is something I am delighted to be part of implementing. Peoples lives truly are better if they cycle, walk or wheel more, and the means by which Modeshift supports everyday journeys is genuinely meaningful.
I have had the pleasure of knowing about Modeshift and knowing a number of staff members for some years now, and they are a passionate, mission focussed and lovely group.
This always means time with my family! My lovely wife Anna, three children and the dog of course. Life is best spent together making memories. I’m also a passionate fan of cycle and like to keep up to date with racing news.
