Welcome Elizabeth Evans, our new East of England Regional Executive. Elizabeth works at Smarter Travel Ltd, where she has built an impressive career in sustainable transport since 2022.
After completing her Masters in Globalisation, Business and Sustainable Development, Elizabeth joined Liftshare (now Mobilityways) as a Consultant Commutologist, helping organisations measure, reduce and report on their Scope 3 commuter emissions. In 2023, she moved to Smarter Travel Ltd as a Travel Plan Coordinator, supporting residential and commercial developments across the UK to deliver sustainable Travel Plans. Now working as Travel Plan Manager, she helps some of the UK’s largest developers get the most from their Travel Plans, delivering tailored initiatives such as car sharing schemes, car clubs, micromobility projects and public transport improvements.
Elizabeth is excited to take on the Modeshift East of England Regional Executive role, and told us:
‘It’s a great opportunity to further expand my knowledge of this growing industry, to network with likeminded individuals and collaborate to bring about positive, progressive changes. Modeshift has been such a great help to me since joining the industry, and I’m looking forward to giving back — by organising regional meetings, raising awareness of best practice, and creating more opportunities for others to get involved.’
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys music (especially country, rock and jazz), travelling, reading non-fiction, cycling, pub quizzes, games nights and DIY — she’s even renovating her first home! She also loves trying new experiences, from pottery and painting to rock climbing.
