Welcome to #TeamModeshift: CalCommuter

CalCommuter is the latest Corporate Premium Member to join #TeamModeshift.

CalCommuter helps organisations understand how people travel to work today –  and how they could travel tomorrow. Through its innovative software platform, organisations can better understand commuting patterns and identify opportunities to encourage more walking, wheeling, cycling, public transport and shared travel for everyday journeys.

Using a short commute survey, CalCommuter creates personalised commute plans for employees. These compare the cost, journey time and carbon emissions of their current commute. The plans then offer realistic alternatives, helping employers support healthier, more affordable and more active ways to travel.

Welcome to #TeamModeshift: CalCommuter

Already working with local authorities, NHS organisations, regional transport authorities, colleges, universities, large employers and behaviour change partners across the UK, CalCommuter is helping organisations make informed decisions about workplace travel.

Active Connections

The team is currently rolling out a new Active Connections feature, helping people discover opportunities to combine cycling with public transport as part of their journey to work.

Alongside this, CalCommuter is developing enhanced analytics and intelligent follow-up messaging to help organisations identify where changes to everyday journeys are most likely to succeed.

The team is also exploring how the platform can support employability programmes.  Helping people starting new jobs understand their travel options and commuting costs before transport becomes a barrier to employment.

Why join #TeamModeshift?

David Smith, Founder of CalCommuter, said:

‘Modeshift brings together organisations that are genuinely focused on improving everyday journeys in practical ways. We’re looking forward to learning from other members, sharing insights from commute data and workplace travel planning projects, and collaborating with organisations working across active travel, behaviour change and transport.’

Exclusive offer for Modeshift Members

CalCommuter is happy to offer a demonstration of the platform and a discussion session for Modeshift members interested in understanding employee commuting patterns, identifying opportunities for walking, wheeling and cycling, either as complete journeys or as part of public transport commutes, and measuring the impact of workplace travel initiatives

We’re pleased to welcome David and the CalCommuter team to #TeamModeshift and look forward to working!
