Nominations are now open for the Celebration of Bikeability 2026

Nominations are now open for the Celebration of Bikeability 2026, recognising the schools, local authorities, families and individuals helping more children and young people build confidence through cycling.

Bikeability plays a key role in supporting active travel across England, and these awards are a chance to spotlight the work happening locally to embed cycling into everyday journeys to school and beyond.

Bikeability are encouraging nominations across a range of categories, including:

  • School of the Year (sponsored by Squish Bikes)
  • Young Cyclist of the Year (Pete Rollings Award, sponsored by Batch Bicycles)
  • Family of the Year (sponsored by NatWest Rooster Money)
  • Organisation of the Year (sponsored by Freewheel)

If you know a school, local authority, or individual making a real difference through Bikeability or cycling more broadly, please encourage them to be nominated.

  • Nominations close: 31 May
  • Winners announced: 17 July (Celebration of Bikeability Day)
