Families across England can make the most of the summer holidays thanks to the Government’s free bus travel scheme for children aged 5 – 15, running from 1 – 31 August 2026.
The initiative gives families the chance to enjoy days out by bus while helping young people build confidence using public transport. For many, it could also be the perfect opportunity to practise a new journey before the start of the school year, especially if travelling to a new school or using the bus independently for the first time.
