Call for clear targets on walking and cycling in England

Modeshift are proud to join more than 50 organisations in calling for a stronger Cycling & Walking Investment Strategy 3.

We’ve added our name to a coalition of over 50 groups urging the Government to set clear, measurable targets for walking, wheeling and cycling — and to create a national ‘network of networks’ linking homes, stations, schools and healthcare. People deserve safe, connected routes that work for everyday journeys.

We’ve co-signed a joint letter to the Transport Secretary calling for a fully deliverable Cycling & Walking Investment Strategy 3. The letter sets out the need for transparent national targets and a coherent active travel network that matches the long-term planning already in place for roads and rail.
