Northumberland County Council is looking for an experienced and motivated transport professional to join its Strategic Transport team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of transport strategies, policies, programmes and major infrastructure projects that will shape the future of transport across the county.

You’ll provide expert advice to senior officers, elected members and partners, develop business cases and funding bids, and manage complex programmes, projects, budgets and contracts. You’ll also build strong partnerships with stakeholders and support the development of a high-performing transport team.

Based at County Hall, Morpeth, with hybrid working and occasional site visits and evening meetings, this is a 2-year fixed-term contract offering the opportunity to make a real difference to communities, residents and businesses across Northumberland.
