Brighton & Hove City Council launch this year’s theme for Car Free “A Better Connected City”

Car Free Day is celebrated across the world on or around 22 September. It encourages people to walk, cycle or use public transport, instead of using their car for the day.

The local theme of this year’s Car Free Day is ‘A Better Connected City’. It celebrates our aims to improve travel for everyone, by connecting people with their communities and each other in a way that is inclusive, accessible and sustainable.

A programme of events and offers will take place across the city on and around the 22 September and there will be something for everyone. From being more active on your journey to becoming more aware of how cycling, walking and using public transport can help reduce your carbon footprint.
