A cheerful group of children and adults dressed in space-themed costumes pose for a photo outdoors in front of leafy trees. Some children wear school uniforms, while others sport helmets, scooters, and bright accessories. One adult is dressed as an astronaut, and others wear alien or star costumes, celebrating a themed active travel event.

Brightwayz join local pupils for a ‘space’ walk to school

Corporate Premium Members Brightwayz joined local pupils for a ‘space’ walk to school inspired by this years Walk to School Week theme from fellow Modeshift Members Living Streets.

Over 100 pupils, siblings, parents and teachers from Hayfield Cross C of E Primary School in Kettering were joined by Brightwayz founder Alison and her colleague Andrea for the special themed walk to school. Previous excuses for the Brightwayz team to dress up and join the walk to school have included Walking with Santa, a Womble Walk and an Easter Bunny hop to school.

Brightwayz feature this and many of their active and sustainable travel initiative ideas for schools and workplaces on their blog and website.
