Calling all Team Modeshift Members!
The RMT Union have announced that strikes on Network Rail will now take place on November 3, 5 and 7. Despite this coinciding with the Modeshift Convention, the 2-day event will proceed as planned. Minor changes will be made to the agenda in order to give delegates as much time as possible to travel to Leicester for the Convention.
This is a minor blip, and certainly something that we, as experts within the travel and transport industry, should overcome with ease! We have faith that the Members of Team Modeshift will still be able to make their way to Leicester for our event. This morning we have spoken to a number of our speakers and delegates who have confirmed that they still intend to travel to Leicester to attend the Convention be what may. This gives us confidence that we can still deliver what is shaped up to be an exceptional Convention for you.
Travelling to Leicester
We recommend that you give plenty of time for your journeys if travelling on Thursday 3rd November.

Thing. have made planning a journey to the Convention so straight forward. Simply enter your postcode or street/town name in the ‘From’ field, then select a Convention destination from the drop-down list in the ‘To’ field to get your journey options. If you are interested in Car Sharing or would be willing to offer someone a lift to Leicester, then please visit the Modeshift Forum, where we have set up a new page for you to arrange car shares with other Team Modeshift Members – Modeshift Convention 2022 – Travelling to Leicester – Modeshift – Sustainable Travel – note you will need to be logged into the Modeshift Members’ website for this link to work.
Where possible, we also recommend travelling the night before on Wednesday 2nd November. We have checked with hotels, and there is still good availability at both the Leicester Ibis, and Leicester Premier Inn, so this may be an option for you.
Alterations to the agenda
We have made some minor alterations to the agenda for day one (Thursday 3rd November) to give you as much time as possible to travel and still participate in as many sessions as possible.
Plans for day two (Friday 4th November) remain unchanged.
