Businesses across Greater Manchester awarded accreditation by Transport for Greater Manchester for supporting sustainable travel.

The businesses, which include art centre HOME and Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust, have achieved this recognition by committing to sustainable travel, whether that’s through investing in electric vehicles or encouraging employees to make active travel choices.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has highlighted that this work not only delivers tangible benefits to the business and their employees but it also helps to contribute to Greater Manchester’s carbon neutrality targets, Congestion Deal and clean air targets.

This year the annual awards saw the addition of a Platinum accreditation, recognising those workplaces that have achieved ‘sustained travel behaviour change.’

Manchester Metropolitan was among those to receive this accreditation for its work in enabling travel to work by sustainable modes, with over 75% of staff now doing so.
