Over the next few weeks Modeshift will present a range of speakers who will be presenting at the Annual Convention from leading organisations who are at the forefront of sustainable and active travel promotion. This week we focus on Day one, session one speakers Dulce Pedroso and Timothy Crawshaw.

Summary: Through her research with women cyclists from various parts of the UK (funded by the Active Travel Academy), Dulce explores the impact of the simple representations of cycling and cyclists and how those written out from these narratives navigate and challenge various stereotypes. These are stories of joyful resistance.
Dulce researches cycling and belonging, advocates for more joy and fewer cars in cities, and has a love-hate relationship with long-distance cycling.
