London Walking and Cycling Conference 2023 – Early bird deadline now extended |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The deadline for early bird tickets for the London Walking and Cycling Conference has been extended to Sunday 30 April 2023. We are also still searching for our full line-up of speakers. The call for papers deadline is fast approaching, also on the 30 April. |

Preparations for the annual London Walking and Cycling Conferences are well underway, and we are looking forward to welcoming people for a day full of sustainable transport innovations and ideas on the Friday 9 June 2023 at the Guildhall, London. Tickets have been selling quickly already, and we are enthused by the speakers we are securing. However, to give everyone a fair chance at getting a discounted ticket, we have decided to extend the deadline of our early bird sale by a month. This means you can still pick up a discounted ticket until Sunday 30 April. |

Call for papers Our call for papers is also still open until the end of April, and we are seeking presenters from across the sector to share case studies, present findings, and share new ideas relating to sustainable transport. We would especially like to welcome any new voices and fresh perspectives on walking and cycling, especially from minority groups. While the conference might have ‘London’ in the title, we are also seeking papers from outside the city and outside the UK so that we can learn from wide-ranging perspectives. We have seen extraordinary sustainable travel progress in our cities over the past few years, many born out of the opportunities presented by the pandemic. However, there is much work still to be done, which is why this year the Conference is themed around taking walking and cycling to the next level: the path to climate neutrality. If you would like to discuss your potential presentation topic with our conference organisers before submitting a paper, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with alex.nettle@hackney.gov.uk |

Selected speakers will get a free ticket to the Conference. If a speaker purchases a ticket prior to their selection, they will be reimbursed. Exhibit at the Conference We are keen that the walking and cycling industry’s best charities, businesses and community groups can show off their best work to our influential attendees. If you are interested in hosting a stall at the Conference’s Exhibition Hall, please contact alex.nettle@hackney.gov.uk |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you at the conference! If you have any questions about the event or the call for papers please get in touch with alex.nettle@hackney.gov.uk |
