GO Travel Solutions, Leicester based sustainable travel consultancy, is delighted to announce that Emma Ahmed is joining their team as a LocalGO Ambassador for New Lubbesthorpe Sustainable Urban Extension in Leicestershire. As a resident of New Lubbesthorpe, Emma will use her local knowledge to build positive relationships with the residents of this new and thriving community.
To help decrease the number of single occupancy vehicle journeys in New Lubbesthorpe, leading to reduced carbon emissions, Emma will aim to raise awareness of LocalGO, the communities travel package. This package offers residents a range of sustainable and active travel discounts and offers, as well as a range of sustainable travel events and initiatives which will take place at the development over the coming year.
Emma is a keen walker and uses the NovusDirect and NovusFlex bus services on a regular basis. Her goal is to make New Lubbesthorpe a better place to live and raise a family by encouraging as many people as possible to walk, run, cycle, or use public transport for their local journeys or their commute.
Emma commented, “I have lived in New Lubbesthorpe for 5 years and have made many lasting friendships. I am looking forward to helping residents save money and explore the sustainable ways that we can travel as individuals and as a community.”
