We Walk with Awareness

Living Streets are inviting pupils to a free assembly session in their series: ‘We Walk with Awareness’. It’s all about nature and our place in the local environment.

‘We Walk with Awareness’ is happening between 17 – 20 March 2025.

These free assemblies are part of Living Street’s mission to inspire pupils of all ages to walk, wheel, cycle or scoot to school wherever possible and could be the first step in your journey to chaos-free school gates.

This 20-minute curriculum-aligned session is packed with engaging content to inspire more active journeys while teaching children how to have an awareness of their local environment.

They’ll be talking about reducing our carbon footprint and sharing some actions that pupils can take to have positive impact on climate change.

Register now.

Why join?

  • Pupils will leave inspired about walking, wheeling and scooting to school
  • Pupils will learn about the importance of the natural environment and how we can be aware of the changes in our environment by travelling actively
  • They’ll leave with an understanding of carbon footprints, what sustainability is and learn some key facts about biodiversity
  • The session is designed to inspire and engage pupils in the classroom and beyond
  • Extend learning with cross-curricular links to citizenship, science and PE – all suitable for KS1 and KS2
