Bikeability 2035 Strategy launched
This week we saw the launch of The Bikeability Trust’s 2035 Strategy.
The Bikeability Trust’s mission is to activate a nation of cyclists by ensuring everyone has the confidence to enjoy the life skill, independence and fun of cycling. Giving everyone the competence and confidence to cycle is their core mission, making cycling the norm for short journeys.
Check out the strategy document that explains what they plan to do to fulfil this mission.
We’re proud to be a part of this, with the strategy outlining Bikeability will continue to work with partners like Modeshift, specifically through our STARS and Active Travel Ambassadors’ programmes across communications with the school network.
Modeshift Executive Board Chair, Ross Butcher said:
‘Modeshift and the Bikeability Trust share a strong working relationship, united by our commitment to promoting active travel and sustainable transport. By working together, we are supporting schools, local authorities, and communities in encouraging more children to walk, cycle, and scoot safely. Modeshift’s expertise in active travel planning and accreditation complements the Bikeability Trust’s mission to equip children with essential cycling skills, creating a safer, greener, and healthier future for young people across the UK. That is why we fully support the Bikeability Trust’s 2035 strategy, which aims to offer cycle training to every child. Our collaboration not only helps embed cycling into everyday school life but also aligns with wider sustainability goals, helping to reduce car dependency and improve air quality in communities nationwide’.
