Olly Samways, Sales Director of Westcotec Ltd, will be speaking about active travel schemes that the company have been involved with most recently, as well as noting technology available and how it can be used.
Examples of this are Air Quality Monitoring and real time displays, School Streets systems, and diversion systems designed to classify vehicle type and monitor pollutants.
Westcotec Ltd, an employee-owned company based in Norfolk, design, manufacture and install a vast variety of road safety products ranging from Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS), intelligent warning systems and products used for active travel schemes. Over 22 years, they have grown to become one of the largest turnkey providers in this field.

Drawing on almost a decade’s experience of using tech to deliver behaviour change programmes, Jack’s presentation will start with the basics of why and how tech is a vital tool for achieving scalable modal shift, sharing examples of the value it can deliver in terms of data, communications, scalability and targeting. The second half will examine the limitations and potential pitfalls of using tech, with examples of how it can go wrong and suggestions to avoid some common problems.
