Modeshift Travel Demand Management Award – Shortlisted Nominations!
In 2020, Mott MacDonald was appointed as a strategic Travel Demand Management (TDM) advisor to the Department for Transport and provided TDM support to English local authorities throughout the COVIE-19 pandemic, to help to get pupils back to education within the constraint of reduced public transport capacity. The programme was then extended to enable support to be provided for the return of commuter and leisure trips as COVID restrictions eased.
To recognise their great work during challenging circumstances, we have introduced our new Modeshift Travel Demand Management Award, sponsored by the Department for Transport and Mott MacDonald.
We had an amazing response to this new award, and would like to thank all those local authorities for submitting such high quality nominations. All entries have now been shortlisted by an expert panel made up of representatives from the Department for Transport and Mott MacDonald. We are pleased to announce that the following TDM projects have been shortlisted:
Back on the Bus Campaign – Transport Coordination Service, Devon County Council
Travel Demand Management Project – Safer Travel Team, Surrey County Council
TDM Team – Transport for Greater Manchester
School Restart – Transport for West Midlands
The Award winners will be announced at the Annual Modeshift Convention that is taking place on 4th and 5th November at the Athena Conference Centre, Leicester.
