Are you ready for TravelWise Week?
Did you know that Modeshift is now the UK-coordinator of European Mobility Week (known as TravelWise Week here in the UK)?
TravelWise Week runs from 16th -22nd September. What does your organisation do to promote sustainable and active travel during this time?
Even though we have left the EU for many things, via Brexit, we are still geographically part of the continent of Europe and therefore eligible to participate in TravelWise Week – just like Eurovision!!
This year’s event theme is ‘Better Connected’ and “seeks to highlight and foster synergies between people and places that are offering their expertise, creativity and dedication to raising awareness about sustainable mobility and promoting behaviour change in favour of active and sustainable travel, in addition to reaching out and making connections between existing groups and new audiences.”

Modeshift are delighted to be coordinating TravelWise Week and will soon have a range of downloadable resources available that you and your teams can use at no cost.
We are encouraging everyone in Team Modeshift to sign up and take part in TravelWise Week and to log any mobility actions that you deliver.
Any activities delivered can count towards TravelWise Week, and if recorded and logged on the European Mobility Week website, could earn you awards and recognition!

Take part in our TravelWise Week Survey
We have put together a quick survey to find out what activities Team Modeshift Members are running across the UK. This is so we can begin to build suggestions and case studies for ideas to share.

School STARS Town competition
As part of TravelWise Week we will soon be launching a national competition to help us create a new STARS Town. STARS Town is where our Modeshift STARS family live, learn, work, and play. We’d like to see your ideas of how our STARS family might live, where they work, how they travel, and what they might do to keep active.
