Ealing Council are looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about Transport and Active Travel, and who possesses the skills and experience to successfully deliver the Council’s vision, including in 2024/25 an ambitious £28m programme of highways transformation works aimed at improving network connectivity, prioritising modal shift and reducing carbon impact.
Transport, modal shift and active travel are crucial components of Ealing’s overarching strategy to address the climate emergency and plays an important role in supporting good growth, good jobs and equality in the borough. Ealing are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking and effective leader to join their directorate as Head of Transport (Active & Sustainable Travel). Working in the Housing and Environment Directorate, reporting to the Assistant Director for Environment & Living Streets you will take the lead on the design and delivery of a range of transformative and ambitious initiatives across Ealing’s 7 vibrant and diverse towns, aimed at ensuring that the borough is well equipped to address existing, emerging and long term strategic transport challenges.
