Modeshift to host international TDM Delegation
We’re excited to welcome a delegation of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) professionals from the United States in partnership with the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT).
From Monday 24 to Friday 28 March, we’ll be hosting a week-long visit that will bring together experts from both sides of the Atlantic to explore best practice in sustainable transport for major events.
An unmissable learning opportunity
With the UK’s experience of hosting major global events like the Olympic Games and large-scale concerts, this visit offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into world-class event transport planning.
Throughout the week, we will be joined by colleagues from Transport for London, Great Western Railway, London Legacy Development Corporation, Major Events International, Transport for Greater Manchester and visiting some of the UK’s leading venues and transport hubs, including Wembley Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (Wimbledon) and Manchester City Football Club.
Delegates will also attend the Modeshift National STARS Summit on Thursday 27 March, where we’ll be celebrating sustainable travel excellence and sharing best practice in active and sustainable travel.
Key topics and takeaways
Participants will explore:
- Special event travel plans focused on the use of Travel Demand Management (TDM) strategies
- Multi-modal transport
- Innovative Travel Planning technologies
- Marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement
- Private sector engagement to mitigate impacts on commuters and non-event attendees
This is a fantastic opportunity for Modeshift Members to engage in international collaboration, learn from leaders in event transport planning, and help shape the future of sustainable mobility.
