60 Seconds with Modeshift Convention Speaker Ewhen Chymera

Ewhen Chymera is Transport Planner at Leeds City Council. He spoke at the Modeshift Convention about ‘Schools Yorkshire Tour’.

How long have you been involved with Modeshift and in what capacity? 18 months, overseeing a team of School Travel Plan Monitoring staff.

If you could only choose to promote one way to travel, what would it be and why? Cycling, it is cheap, easy, emission free and offers a realistic alternative for short journeys in terms of time/speed.

Tell us something we didn’t know about you? I run a Ukrainian football blog named after a street and trains top in Sheffield – Donetsk way.

What’s your biggest work achievement to date? The introduction of a pool e-bike fleet across a number of offices at Leeds City Council.

What do you do for fun? I am a home brewing cyclist. So riding out to a brewery over some hills is a favoured past time – just for research of course.
