An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Transport Planner (Development) to join the award-winning local authority transport planning team at Ealing Council in West London. This Senior Transport Planner (Development) role offers the chance to shape how new developments are designed and delivered, ensuring they support sustainable transport, placemaking, and climate change objectives. Working within a collaborative Transport Planning team, you will assess the transport impacts of planning applications and provide expert advice on development management and development proposals. You will work closely with planning, regeneration, urban design and housing teams to help create greener, safer and healthier communities across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a to work on a diverse range of projects, from local developments to major regeneration schemes linked to significant transport infrastructure, growth areas and sustainable development. You will play a key role in shaping places while supporting ambitious transport and climate policy objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review transport assessments, travel plans and planning application documents
• Provide expert transport planning and placemaking advice on development proposals
• Work with developers to secure sustainable transport outcomes and active travel improvements
• Support active travel, public transport and sustainable development objectives
• Contribute to major regeneration and transport infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across planning, development and regeneration functions
