Position: Modeshift STARS Team Support

Year joined Modeshift: September 2020

Career history:  I previously worked for both Humberside County Council and Hull City Council as part of the Public Transport team where we arranged both home to school and public transport

I then joined The East Riding of Yorkshire Council in June 2004 as a school travel plan advisor working with schools to put together their school travel plans and from there with schools working towards their Modeshift STARs accreditation awards.

Why did you join Team Modeshift?

The variety of the job, no two days are the same. The experience of everyone in the team, and the passion and commitment of everyone to promote sustainable travel.  Being the admin contact it is very varied from sending out invoices to arranging for the STARs certificates to be delivered, it is always good to celebrate the success of our members.

Outside of Modeshift: I keep busy with my collie dog called Belle and two grandchildren.   I love to travel and explore new places. I surprised myself by loving para gliding, I haven’t done it for a while, but the buzz you get is fabulous.
